Today is a fast day for me and this reminds me how important it is for the athlete to take time off to reflect and choose to be mindful. This is a day of quiet. It is a day of reflection and celebration of the good things, the things that help us become more and stay connected with others. Fasting within proper nutritional guidelines can help the athlete live and train consistently with precision and serve as a reminder of how the athlete is supposed to both train and perform.
